What to Bring, What Not to Bring

What to Bring…
The wonderful Whitsundays region boasts an average of 274 sunny days per year. Our winter weather is still a winner, usually with dry conditions and day time temperatures of 26°C. The water in winter is still delightful for swimming and snorkelling. Out winter nights (think a month, not a season) can drop to 16°C. Our wettest month is usually February as we are in the tropics, getting most of our rain in the summer. Most of the year bathers is all you’ll need to pack. maybe a hoodie and some trackie pants for a few of our winter nights.
As its a Bare Boat Charter, imagine renting a unit for a week, you will need to bring all your food but we supply the utensils.
You will need to bring your toiletries and medications (don’t forget sea sickness tablets, if needed).
We supply 2 towels per person for onboard use, so you might want to bring a beach towel for the beach trips.
Don’t forget a camera and an MP3 player. Southern Mans stereo has Bluetooth, USB and AUX inputs.

What Not to Bring…
Please don’t bring hard suitcases or cases with wheels as they damage the boats and there is no where to store them.
You won’t need shoes onboard but a pair of reef shoes might come in handy if you are planning to go on an adventure.

Sail Guide

A Sail Guide can be supplied for as long or little as you like. They will not be the skipper, they will just act under the Nominated Skipper, but can show all the crew everything that they need to know, from the Motor and Electrical System to raising the Sails. The Sail Guide can also work on the itinerary and showing the crew the best places to fish, snorkel and sight see. The Sail Guide will need a cabin and food and will cost $250/day, and ferry costs to the mainland if dropped off on Hamilton Island.
