My wife and I spent our honeymoon on southern man, the boat was in great condition, very clean and comfortable. We sailed around the whitsunday islands for 6 nights, our skipper Mark was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area, we felt like we were in good hands the whole time and I would recommend highly to anyone booking southern man and Mark to help enjoy your holiday. We will definitely do this again (Don’t bother stopping at daydream island it’s the most unorganised chaotic shambles of a resort I’ve ever been too)

We had an amazing long weekend on the boat! 8 of us fit so comfortably, all the rooms and bathrooms are super comfy and heaps bigger than I expected. I would love to go for another trip soon!!

We have recently returned from the Whitsundays where we chartered Southern Man through Anchor Charters and Mark McPherson. This is was my third trip to the Whitsundays over the years so I was reasonably familiar with the area and the sailing conditions. In my previous trips and bareboat chartering it was usually the case of "here's the keys and away you go" but this experience was very different. Mark McPherson showed a very real personal interest in ensuring we had a great trip. He assisted with our trip planning and was able to point out various points of interest that you don't find in the brochures and were well worth visiting. As well as that he gave us a very thorough training on all aspects of Southern Man which ensured we had a safe and enjoyable trip. Certainly give Southern Man serious consideration when planning your trip to the Whitsundays.
